Ashes at the End of Neon begins at 《科幻》规则下的边缘城区, where 第一个发现人工智能规则漏洞的普通人 notices that 记忆交易 has moved closer overnight.
Two rules govern this place. First: 人工智能每天只能触发一次. Second: 违规者会失去一段与家有关的记忆. Nobody agrees on who wrote them down.
The door opens before the warning can be folded away. Someone on the other side knows the protagonist's former name and has brought proof that the central story everyone believes is incomplete.
